Direct Payment Managed Accounts
What is a Direct Payment?
A Direct Payment is funding provided by a local authority or NHS so that an individual can arrange their own care and support. Instead of care being arranged directly by the council, the person receiving support:
While empowering, this also creates complex administrative and legal duties.
DD Payroll simplifies these responsibilities for individuals and supports councils and organisations managing Direct Payment programmes.
Our Managed Account Support
A Managed Account is where DD Payroll receives and holds your care funding (Direct Payments or Personal Health Budgets) and makes agreed payments on your behalf. You retain oversight, but we handle:
- Payment of care agency invoices and Personal Assistant wages
- Reimbursement of approved care-related expenses
- Itemised statements aligned to audit requirements
- Tasks like pension contributions, insurance, or supplier payments
This reduces the burden of managing finances without taking away the control.
A managed account can be used alongside our payroll service.
