As National Payroll Week comes to an end, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the people behind the payroll and the purpose behind what we do.
At DD Payroll, payroll isn’t simply about numbers, payslips and calculations. Behind every payroll is a person being paid for the work they do, and an employer relying on us to help get things right.
For Direct Payment employers who employ their own Personal Assistants, managing payroll is one more responsibility alongside arranging care, managing their Direct Payment and being an employer.
That’s why our team is here to help.
More than just processing payroll
There is a lot that goes into running payroll.
Our team supports Direct Payment employers with calculating pay, PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and other payroll responsibilities. We also answer questions, help employers understand their payroll and deal with the changes that naturally happen when employing PAs.
Sometimes it’s a straightforward payroll query. Sometimes an employer needs help understanding a payslip or what they need to do next.
Whatever the question, our team is there to support them.

National Payroll Week is a chance to recognise the payroll professionals who work behind the scenes to keep everything moving.
At DD Payroll, our payroll and pensions teams deal with a wide range of queries and situations throughout the year.
It takes knowledge, attention to detail and, perhaps most importantly, a willingness to help.
We know that payroll isn’t always something our employers want to spend their time thinking about. When you’re managing your own care and employing your PAs, there are already plenty of other things to think about.
Our job is to make the payroll side of things as straightforward as possible.
Payroll with Purpose
There’s another reason National Payroll Week means something to us.
DD Payroll donates all of its profits to our parent charity, Disability Direct.
This means that the work our team does doesn’t just support the employers and Personal Assistants who use our service. Our profits go back into supporting the wider work of Disability Direct and the people it serves.
That’s what we mean by Payroll with Purpose.
It’s about providing a service that people can rely on while creating a positive impact beyond payroll.
